Membership Fees
The cost of being a member of Skipton Swimming Club is split into annual and monthy fees
The annual membership fee covers club memberships and ASA fees
There are two categories available at renewal, Club Train and Club Compete. You can see details of the benefits of each membership on the Swim England website but with relevance to our club:
- Club Train members can swim at Stepping Stones, A&W galas and our club gala •
- Club Compete members can swim at all open meets including e.g. City of Bradford, Doncaster Dartes, York City Baths, Counties, North East Regionals, Nationals etc.
We are a competitive club and have an expectation that swimmers who’ve been with the club a year or more and/or identified by the coaching team as ready to compete, should be competing at graded meets in 2025 and renew as Club Compete members. In short the Swim England membership fee covers swimmer’s insurance and enables them to compete and our club membership covers ongoing pool costs, volunteer fees, training and expenses amongst many other things. It is a vital part of our income.
Session Fees
Monthly session fees cover the cost of the training sessions offered and which the member commits to attend. These fees will be charged based on the table below for the number of hours which are allocated to each swimmer per week.
This is paid by standing order betweent the 1st and 10th of each month and is payable whether or not the member attends.
Regular attendance to ensure competitve progress is actively encouraged.
These costs have been calculated to offset a certain number of sessions per year being omitted for coaching staff holidays, annual holiday periods and pool closures.
